| For 2008, the Marion Classic partnered with World Hope International. All of the proceeds from our community races were donated to purchase bicycles for for World Hope to be given to AIDS caregivers in the village of Muziya in Zambia. We also wanted to promote cycling and cycling safety in our local community. At the event, spectators registered to win free prizes, including over 50 children’s helmets, gift certificates for life-saving ID tags, and a $700 road bicycle, compliments of Curfman's Cycling & Fitness! |
