AMATEUR RACES The amateur races of the Marion Classic are separated by category of skill level. Rankings are Men Category (Cat) 1-5, with one being the most advanced riders (including professionals). The 2010 Marion Classic offers races for every category of rider. These races feature everything from the weekend warrior to rising stars!
CITIZEN RACES The Citizen category is for riders who are not members of USA Cycling but would still like to compete in a sanctioned race. The Marion Classic combines the Citizens with Cat 4 and 5 for Men. This means a good test of speed and skill is in order! In addition to the entry fee, Citizen riders must pay an insurance surcharge to USA Cycling at registration sign-in. Road bicycle and helmet are required.
